one of my favorite james bond scenes: goldfinger just about to cut 007 in half. sean connery, as usual, plays the best bond ever.

    I say that b/c the producers/writers made sure to involve SPECTRE in all the early films. Goldfinger is the only exception. The Dr. No and FRWL novels do not include SPECTRE but it was added to the films to provide Bond with a consistent enemy so it's surprising to me that they didn't do the same thing on Goldfinger. However, I'm glad they didn't..

    Great scene! I'm surprised the producers/writers didn't tie Goldfinger to SPECTRE somehow. It certainly wasn't necessary to do so but it's odd b/c this is the only film until Live and Let Die that doesn't involve SPECTRE in some way.
