Penguin & Puffin Coast exhibit at Saint Louis Zoo

Go nose-to-beak with the birds at Penguin & Puffin Coast! At this unique exhibit, you'll see, hear and, yes, smell these fun-loving oceanic birds. Watch out, you might get splashed! At this walk-through sub-Antarctic exhibit, the temperature is kept at a chilly 45 degrees year-round. Rockhopper, gentoo and king penguins from the Southern Hemisphere, along with horned and tufted puffins from the Northern Hemisphere share the indoor portion of the exhibit. Outdoors are the endangered Humboldt penguin from the warmer climate of Peru.
