i believe youre forgetting that Garifunas roots are Honduras' roots. The garifuna language itself has Honduran Origion' from the native peoples that were there and combined the rhythms and languages of afro caribeans and native Honduran tribes. The essence of this music is Honduran to the core. Its not a racial thing its a cultural thing and anyone with Honduran culture should be proud to call this music theirs.

@buckypastor this guys are born in guatemala or honduras, but in their blood they have garifuna and they speak the language they claim the country that they were born but they are damnn proud of being garifunas, and as a guatemalan i don't claim this music but im proud of growing up with this music, and proud that guatemala accepted this people we are not like stupid americans that look down on black ppl because so and so. we are damn proud of this people. la puta esta en nuestra sangre!!!!!!
