Shantaram is a decent book. Nothing great. The philosophy starts to grate. The romance with poverty and the mafia gets a little boring. The characters turn into caricatures that help the story move along. Prabhakar has to be nice all the time, Karla is part hooker, part poet, part "girl needing to be loved" etc etc. But spare a thought for the man. To be put through an interview with a person with sub zero intelligence, I feel bad for him

i agree d host pooja is annoying n doesnt give a damn bout where he s heading n keeps interuptin him ...gregory is such a great man ....he s more of a mumbaiker than most mumbaikers !!!his hand and neck gestures are also so typically indian when he talks ....man dis book was such an inspiration ...i mean he endured so much and still stayed positive and strived for better !!!
