Mr. Harper, you state that Canada will continue to invest in clean energy technologies. Why, then, are you providing financial incentives towards the development and expansion of the Alberta tarsands, a project which has been identified as one of the most environmentally destructive on Earth?
Thx, awesome question ! The companies are trying to expand in Montreal. I think this has to do with fact that there are no taxes for water in Quebec, and plenty of water. But we wouldn't let them in!!!!

Please don't think of me as some oil grubbing lobbiest but denying Alberta oil is like denying Saskatchewan wheat, without it we won't have anything and our economy will plunge into the toilet.

good question. Though it might be that the long term renewable resources are quite far away and he feels that without those oil reserves we will enter a period with such highly restricted supply that it will lead to financial instability. Another note is that Alberta's economy depends on oil so preventing it will lead to the economic collapse of Alberta, as an Allbertain this concerns me, but still green energy has to be found soon.
