Tactica video on unit synergy between the Tau XV8 and the Hammerhead Tank. The two units work together to provide protection from shooting and assaults. Hats off to Adam at Warhammer Tau (http://warhammer-tau-army.blogspot.com/) who coined the phrase "circling the wagons."

  • whats better rail gun or iaon cannon

  • @bloodanglesrule, railgun everytime. I used the ion cannon on occasion but the railgun is the better choice.

  • @Warpetrie, put flechettes on your vehicles when you are fighting orks and do this tactic. you can wipe whole squads like that.

  • You do not consolidate after combat with a vehicle.

  • it doesn't matter if you see them, it spesifically says in the line of sight rules, that you can see through modles

  • where exactly?

  • This is my favourite Warhammer 40k product, in fact it's my favourite GW product because when i first looked at 40k, I saw this and knew it's my tank of choice. Imperium beware, I got a Railgun...Time to shoot some mother f.... I better watch my mouth :D

  • @tauofwar thats silly advice, you should never tailor your list for a particular army. you need to have an army list that can take on anything for it to be a truly good army

  • FISH OF FURY

  • @tauofwar pg 17 in the black reach rule book. It only says that you can draw line of sight though models in your own unit. If your line of sight traces though another unit (yours or the enemy) the unit your trying to shoot gets a cover save. some larger Models that are monstrous creatures or Vehicles block line of sight completely.

    backing up the greater good.

  • DEATHRAIN SUITS FTW!

  • i dont play warhammer 40k table top i did play soulstorm and i realy love how those tau units look

  • This is a good idea, but it would be better with a cheaper vehicle, and you need protection for the sides. Disruption pods only work if the shot came from more than 12 inches away, which means that a meltagun in that squad will raise hell. Also, the Chrisis suits need protection from any blast weapons, especially ordinance. If the blast lands behind on or behind the suits without passing through the tank, then you get no cover save.

  • I LOVE YOUR VOICE ! Thank you for standing up for the Greater Good!

  • I LOVE YOUR VOICE THUMBS UP!

  • @Darklomli your third hardpoint doesn't have to be used for a support system. if you do put a weapon on there though, you can't fire both weapons systems without a hard-wired multitracker.
