The New Uptown Centre In Victoria BC

This is a full video FLY THROUGH animation covering all angles of the brand new "Uptown Centre" in Victoria British Columbia. Phase one Is Complete and the first business to open was Shopper Drug Mart in Mid-June 2010 Followed by Future Shop and then Followed by The Walmart Super Centre one month later.

Phase Two Of The Uptown Centre Is Now 1/2 Way Completed And Should Be Open For Business June-July 2012.

Remember there are 2 levels of underground parking for FUTURE SHOP and the parking connects underground to the Walmart section of the complex. You can access the Best Buy and Shoppers drug mart from the Blanshard Street up-ramp. And you can also access Walmart from this upper section by taking the elevator down one level.

Aren't "Best Buy" and "Future Shop" the same company now? If so, isn't that redundant, and if not, isn't it overkill?

Apparently they are owned by the same corporation but opperate as seperate companies. But yes essentially they are the same.

The only difference is that Future shop has commission sales people who follow you around and get angry at you when you don't buy something, while Best Buy pays its staff on an hourly wage and they do not work on Commission.

@videocircus Wow I did not know that. I was under the impression that Future Shop carries more high quality electronics etc. Good to know.

@videocircus Ah, got it! :-) Yes, the people at Futurue Shop ARE kind of like that. So, apparently, are the people at Sears. If you just happen to LOOK out of the corner of your eyes at the appliances (while shopping for something else) salespeople are on you like cheetahs on a dying gazelle, but if you want to buy vacuum cleaner bags, there are no salespeople to be found...
