302 bored .030 over with ford racing b303 cam, edelbrock preformer rpm intake and 600 cfm carb speed pro hypereutectic pistons and hooker headers with purple hornies mufflers and custom h-pipe. otherwise stock crank rods and heads.

@ItalianStallionLouie Yeah, it's loud. you have to really crank the radio to hear it over the rumble of the engine. I think they sound great, though. They're really throaty, with a little bit of a "pop' to them. I'm currently re-restoring the car and im going to set it up with two sets of electronic cutouts so i can have a quiet setting, a more throaty tone, and one that just dumps it. This thing sounds MEAN with straight pipes.

Have you ever run them to the tail pipes? and what size are yours? I want to try and run them to tail pipes because in Australia laws are tough but I need them to be quiet...ish.

@ItalianStallionLouie What do you mean? Have I ever run the purple hornies to the tail pipes? Yeah, that's how they are in this video. They're the 2.5in mufflers, and I had an exhaust shop weld some custom pipes onto the ends, with an H-pipe in the middle. I don't know how strict the laws in Australia are, but I'm surprised that cops in the states have never even mentioned noise when I've been pulled over for other things.

It sounds good, I can't help but think that you should have dropped in a 351, 390, or 460 though, bigger is always better when it comes to pony cars. (= That motor looks nice and built though so I'm guessing it still moves down the road just fine.

@RidX4Ricers idk, a 460 weighs a good bit more than a 302. I actually considered putting a 351 in, but if I remember correctly, I found something saying a fuel injected 351 has hood clearance problems on these mustangs. I ended up using a carb anyway, haha.

The motor is ok. it has stock heads, and shit ones at that, but everything else is in place for a pair of good aftermarkets to wake it up.

...the 2.79 gears in the rear end are what is really holding this car back right now. : (
