How I spent my summer vacation back in Connecticut, visiting with the family. WE constructed a BBQ Smoker from a trash can as a fun little project...being all manly.

  • Hug, I used Windows Movie Maker, it was an option in the editing section. Hope this helps

  • That is so awesome! I plan on making a trash can smoker to smoke a turkey for Thanksgiving. I was wondering, what kind of trash can are you using? I am a bit worried about using a can because of "metal fume fever". If there's nothing to worry about, please do let me know.

  • If you preburn and presmoke the can, you will be fine. The chemicals used to galvanize trashcans doesnt offgas until about 500 degrees, we cook at about 250.

  • What to you have at the bottom of the can to make the smoke? I've seen a couple of different ways. Did you use wood chips on a hot plate of a Smokey Joe and charcoal?

  • hi, what software did you use to get the cool old film look? thanks

  • Mmm, they look delicious! Love the Nickel Creek background music too!
