Those who encouraged, enabled, or participated in torture need to be held to account. In addition torture is not a reliable way to get intelligence. Torture gets unreliable information and there are traditional interrogation techniques not involving torture that do work. Befriending the detainee and showing some empathy works much better and is also moral. I want to see our civil rights reaffirmed and our Constitution restored.

Violating the Geneva Conventions is not acceptable. Anyone who encouraged, enabled, or participated in torture was not aiding our national interest and was not acting legally. I want all, and I mean ALL such persons prosecuted, as everyone should know that such behavior is illegal, immoral, and wrong. At the end of World War II it was decided that torture is taboo and it should not be a part of our social order and would not be acceptable under any circumstances.

Some suggest that we forgive the most horrific behavior of preemptive war and/ or torture because it was done in the "national interest". I say if we are to have a society of laws then the laws apply to all and if we are to prosecute for personal assaults on the street then so we should prosecute for illegal assaults on the person when in the custody of the state and we should abide by our treaties which are per the Constitution part of our highest laws.

It actually surprises me in a good way that there are people at stanfords university that knwos a little bit more about the truth of what goes on in the white house and what the real reasons are behind the dicisions that they announce.. i wish they could find out sooner so we wont have no attacks as a result of what this goverment does to those people but i mean its a good start at least

Liberal reunion. Ask yourselves, if the liberal media had not overplayed Vietnam mess, we would have won, as we were closer, and maybe almost 2 million innocents would not have been killed by the North and its sick allies. You all got it all wrong, and to think people die for you to teach your ignorant one-sided trash!
