LIVING INTO AN INFINITE UNIVERSE Part 3 of 7 THE TRUTH
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life" [John: 8-12].
Two thousand years ago a man named Jesus revealed and conveyed to his fellow beings the Truth about man and his existential status on Earth. Jesus' teaching is not a religion, but a scientific work. The Truth should be acquired, adopted and practiced.
Jesus said: "I and the father are one." [John: 10-30]. These words express a fundamental truth about Man and the Universe: The human being is a part of the Universe, the human being and the Universe are reciprocally linked and blended into a Living and Eternal Unity. Reawakening this Truth, Man can grasp his true identity. First stage of this process is to know that we are Sons of an Infinite Universe. Jesus has named it "The Way". "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life" [John: 14-6].
Jesus considered those who did not have the Knowledge of Truth as being dead. "Let the dead bury their own dead." [Luke: 9-60]. Understanding, embracing and practicing The Truth has been named Rebirth and Resurrection. That refers of course to the soul and not to the body. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit" [John: 3-6]. Resurrection also means to discover the Father and to realize that we are his Sons. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live" [John: 5-25]. Jesus changes the relationship between Man and the Universe into a new one: a Father-Son relationship. "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" [John: 1-12].
The Father-Son relationship will create a new way of interaction between Man and Universe, based upon Love and Communion. This new relationship excludes the old one: the Master-Slave relationship. While a slave swears allegiance to his master, a Son owes to his Father his condition and his dignity. "Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever" [John: 8-35]. Rebirth is realized through "water and spirit", which means fasting and meditation (prayer). The new family of the resurrected ones has been named the Kingdom of Father. A written word or a spoken one has no significance on its own unless it reveals itself naturally in the human being. "Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision, or a husband's will, but born of God. " [John: 1-13].
By its "embodiment" in our entire being, a word becomes as much alive as a living seed, which falls on fertile soil. A word is only a step, a stage, a way and a mean, whose level has to be rapidly surpassed. Writing a word or uttering it one is merely the surface wave of the sea of life's experiences and feelings.
A "living" word will generate a new "living" form as a plant that keeps living through its seeds. "The one who sowed the good seed is the Son of Man and the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown" [Mathew: 13-23, 37]. The word of Truth "is like a mustard seed which a man took and planted is his field. Though is the smallest of all your seed yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that birds of the air come and perch in his branches"[Mathew:13-31, 32].
Jesus considered his teaching as spiritual bread and an inexhaustible source of life.
"I am the bread of life" [John: 6-48]. " If anyone eats of this bread he will live forever. This bread is my flesh which I will give for the life of the world" [John: 6-51]. "For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink" [John: 6-55]. "Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him" [John: 6-56]. Jesus doctrine is a doctrine of Resurrection and Uplifting of the Spirit through which the Word of Truth becomes alive and awakened.
The Son will be reborn; he will discover that his Being is integrated and blended into the Father's being.
He will discover that he is no more a slave, but a Son. His own dignity is redefined.
A Son is the messenger of the Father (the Universe); he sets free the souls lost in the Hell of Errors and reinstates the primordial link between Man and Universe.
