@wingdrabbit2005 The fans prefer them as twins but others say they are mirrior images of eachother. whcih makes alot of sense about the names (left and right len and rin) and the looks. So really both are right and wrong it's whatever the fans prefer. not officail...

@wingdrabbit2005 Actually, they're the same person. "Kagamine" means "mirror voice." They're made from the same vocalist, only different halves of that voice. Rin obviously got the higher pitches and a more girlish tone, and Ren (Len) got the lower pitches and a more boyish tone. People just portray them as being twins in fandoms.

it's just translated in two different ways because in japanese "L" sounds exactly like "R", so "Ren" and "Len" would be the same person. It's just depends on the person translating. in japanese "R" sounds exactly like "L" in english but translated in romaji as "R". so the translation would be a conflict of "translation" vs. "pronunciation"

Rin is the sister. And Len is the brother. Actually there not related at all.
