Drawing a cartoon in XDP6 with a Wacom Cintiq 12WX tablet. This time just a demonstration without talking. There is a music soundtrack which, if you don't like it, you can simply hit the mute button.

  • It's the one created by Gary Priester on the TalkGrapics forum. You can find it by doing an advance search for the thread named Color Line Changes? and gwpriester for the author. It is post #8.

  • why is there no ERASER

  • @Jen1249L4D You'll have to ask Xara about that.

  • I really enjoyed watching that. I am getting ready to release a webcomic, but I can't seem to get the shading to work the way I want it to. Do you have any videos that go a bit deeper into the shading of cartoons?

  • @bryanraines80 Unfortunately, I don't have any videos on doing shading. What I usually do is to add a highlight color on one side and a shaded part on the other side. You can clone the shape of the head twice, then move the top clone to the left or right a bit, select both clones and hit Ctrl+2 to cut the top shape from the bottom shape. Then make the remaining clone section light or dark.

  • Excellent Job.

Are the same features for drawing something like this in the non-pro version? I make computer games and the one thing that slows me down is the lack of good drawing tools for Windows 7. When Jasc had PSP, it was great, but then Corel got it and ruined it.

  • @reneuend I believe so, but you should check out Xara's site for details. The best thing is to download a trial version and try it for yourself.

  • Hi, what palette are you using in this document? I'd like to use it. Thanks!
