Stocks are closing lower in light trading Friday, ending the worst week for the Dow Jones industrial average since late September. The S&P 500 Has Worst Thanksgiving Week Since 1932.

Shares of Google closed down $7.11 or 1.25% to close at $563. Google hit a high of $618.30 only 6 trading days ago falling $56.97 from the high to Friday's lows.

Google December and January calls have been taken down hard over the past 7 trading sessions. Some examples include the Google December $560 Call which traded as high as $62.50 on 11/14/2011 closed at $18 on Friday down -$44.50 a contract or -71.2%. The Google December $580 Call traded as high as $45.30 on 11/14/2011 closed at $10.20 with a bid of $8.50 down $36.80 a contract or -81.23%.

The European debt crisis and forced collateral liquidation has forced some widely held stocks to be sold on the open market. When all the sellers are out of the market and we have confirmation, this will create buying opportunities in leadership names like Google and other stocks that have been sold down that have high quality earnings results.
