Unknown Music Track(s) in Resident Evil 2

Finally found after all these years, these two similar unknown music tracks were in the sound code in Resident Evil 2.

These music pieces are actually variations (which I've decided to call them) of each other, nonetheless I do not recall hearing them at any point in the game.

The first variation you hear seems to be a rough mix as it contains less instrumentation.

The second variation you hear sounds much more refined, containing one more instrument playing in the track. Presumably, this would have been the final draft before it would be disused.

These were found on a RE2 PSF folder over at Zophar. Whoever ripped them in the first place, thanks.

@RidleySmash It might have been for someone of a heroic trait, since this track sounds like something sad happened to someone good.

And I think I know who it might be.

Before and after from something that could have happened... or was planned to be used in some transition during the game... or maybe like a "first floor theme"/"first floor revisited theme"?... anyway wasn't that good IMO.

They sound very similar to the track "Prologue" - the instrumental that plays during the intro where it talks about the first RE game and ends with the line "But Umbrella's experiments were far from over." These might of been early demos; either way good find!
