Some beautiful sentiments posted here. I heard this song on the radio shortly after my fiance passed away. I had never heard it before and I haven't heard it on the radio since. I called the station and requested the song and they told me that it hadn't been released as a single so they couldn't play it for me. They were kind enough to give me the name of the young girl who sings it and I was able to find the single. To this day, I am not sure how I happened to hear it.

This song goes out to my daddy, He was my adoptive father, but he was the only daddy I ever knew, and I ran away from home when I was 17 and it took me 2 years to ever get back intouch with him. Not long after he was diagnosed with lung cancer, and I lived so far away, I never got to say goodbye b4 he passed and I wish I was able to and I miss him so bad right now, I wish I could have took it all back but I hope he hears me from heaven!

i never knew my dad, so this song goes to my wonderful grandmother. who was my BEST FRIEND in the whole world. I was there at her house every weekend. I was raised by her while my mom was going back and forth to classes each day. so i was her little girl. I was standing by her hospital bed when we made the decision. i remember saying my good byes and how i loved her, i felt her squeeze my hand softly but still did. The past year I got married & now pregnant. I LOVE YOU GRANDMA! <3
