I heard this song 10-15 years ago but cannot recall the name of it or its composer.(My apologies) It might be called Most of All. To me it is so beautiful and haunting telling through Marys' words her need to bond and love her baby, before she shares him with the world.

12-21-11 I was informed that the person who wrote this song is Sophie Riccio Kozak For the absolute correct lyrics please go to http://www.youtube.com/user/katyfeeney and hear her beautiful version. Thanks again Katy!

  • Hi, My name is Katy Feeney, a friend of the composer, Sophie Riccio Kozak (and the person you saw perform this at Our Lady of the Lake in Newburgh). I just started uploading some of my songs to YouTube, and you can find my harp/voice version over at my channel. Nice job on this song! There are a few minor lyric/melody changes from the original, but you kept the majority of it intact from your memory...

  • @katyfeeney Thank you so much for this information. I never saw her perform this in person, but had heard a recording of it on a cassette tape that my dad had. Since my Dad's death in the 90's I haven't been able to find the tape and went by memory which I knew wasn't going to be completely correct. So thanks again!

  • I've been trying to find the original composer, too! This is such a beautiful and bittersweet lullaby. When I first heard it years ago, it was sung by a woman with an Irish harp. I'll let you know if I find her name! Thanks for sharing your tender version.

  • Thanks. I think I heard the same recording. The woman was definitely Irish!

  • Thanks for writing me back, carrolly2k. If I ever find composer or musical score, I'll letcha know. You perform this so beautifully - thank you for sharing your music with us.

  • Thank you so much!

  • @carrolly2k Believe it or not, I heard her *perform* it at Our Lady of the Lake in Newburgh, NY. Even that didn't bring any search engine results!

  • Amazing

  • Sorry to say I do not know.

  • This is absolutely beautiful - who is composer or who sings it?
