  • There's no quicktime option in my maya 2009

  • Try rendering as a sequence of stills as below...

  • i've rendered my video as a series of JPEG's instead, but how can i convert them into video?

    I have Adobe After Effects and Sony Vegas, can you help me?

  • Try using Premier or Final Cut. Both have options to import sequentially numbered stills. This is by far the best rendering approach as crashed rendering attempts still yield stills to the point when rendering stops unexpectedly....

  • i need help, i have maya 8.5 learning edition and i can t render it opens a page with a lot of number and things and in the top says this: This is a restricted mental ray demo version. Disabled features:

    - thread and host parallelism,

    - loading and saving of shadow, photon, and final gather map files,

    - hardware rendering,

    - light mapping, and

    - resolutions greater than 512 * 512 (even numbers only).

    - A mental ray stamp is overlaid.

    And then it doesnt render. what do i do?

  • It sounds like you are trying to use the disabled features on the demo version. Try simple rendering tests using Mental Ray or choose a different rendering method.

  • where is default file????

  • yes it does

  • im sorry, i accidentally took away those bottom options where playback is located...how do i get them back?

  • dose this work for windows

  • Yep, I don't have that either... But here's a way to do it :

    Like HullUniLecturer said, render your scene as a sequence of JPEG stills, and import them into Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut (editing software).

    When Premiere asks you to specify the path of the file you want to import, you'll have to check a little button (at the bottom of the "import" window) saying someting like "import numbered stills" and it will import the whole sequence as if it were one video !

    Good luck !

  • hey maya wont start the batch render this is the only problem or wait i had to make to all of your videos

  • Despite a recession, I would PAY for extended courses like this by you.

    I took Maya for 2 semesters at NYU in 2003. I am re-visiting Maya now to be a more competitive Video Artist (Video Editor/Motion Graphics Artist).

    Your method allows me to jump right back in and retain what I'm learning. I really want more like this. Kudos!

  • I can't batch render on my P.L.E version. It gives me a screen coming up with what I can only assume is coding, like:

    TiffFile::putChunk 1447383635 3

    TiffFile::putChunk 1431717202 5

    TiffFile::putChunk 1145130309 5

    TiffFile::putChunk 1297040457 29

    TiffFile::putChunk 1346978644 5

    TiffFile::putChunk 1213025613 5

    TiffFile::putChunk 1329744462 5

    TiffFile::putChunk 1229865804 6

    How do I fix this?

  • I've got quicktime but I cannot select it, I don't get any options for videos such as Quicktime or WMP. I'm on a Microsoft HP laptop, is that why?
