For Tabs... look in here. I have a link to them. People still message me asking for them... they are here. Look below!
And to answer another common question, the guitar I use is an LTD K-500.
I also write responses when i'm drunk and not paying attention so if i say its in the wrong tuning, if i say a way to play it and its wrong, if i cant even remember how to spell chop suuey its because im not paying enough attention to what im doing and if you know the correct answer then let the person know cause I probably wont correct myself cause im lazy and forget. If you want to insult me for not saying the correct info as well then thats cool too. Unless your my mum, in which case, c'mon mum. Im your child for christ sake. Stop with the name calling!
now onto the serious stuff.
This is probably the closest tabbed version to how I play it, except for the outro. On the outro I play the 3rd chord an octave lower.

Playing it live.
I've played this song live probably over 30 times and heres some hints and tips I have for cover bands if your interested.
The most important part of playing this song live to replicate the power of the song, particularly the chorus's and the outro, is you need vocal harmonies. You can hear both Serj and Daron singing great harmonies, especially on the outro when Daron is practically louder then Serj and singing the higher notes.
As I'm basing this on that your playing the song with only one guitar, you can not play all the guitars being used on the intro as done on the C.D. The best bet is to do the plucking of the chord notes and when the drum roll kicks in to just strum the hell out of the chords. The drums will thicken up the sound dramatically and beef up the cool intro. If you play the high notes without the chords it sounds very tinny and it sounds like it's missing the entire rhythm section as the bass line is not strong enough to carry the rhythm by itself when the drums are practically playing a type of pattern.
When Soad play this live Daron tends to turn off all distortion for the chorus and just pluck the notes on clean. They can tend to get away with this because the crowd is generally singing along as well and adds a fat wall of sound to the vocals. Unfortunately if your playing this as a cover most of the time you wont have 10,000 people singing the chorus with you so I tend to leave my distortion on and palm mute the notes to make it thicker but without letting the notes ring out.
There is keyboard through out the outro as well which adds to the power of it. You can try to replicate this by hitting the outro chords and then picking the individual notes of the chord in a down/up pattern to follow the piano melody.
This is a great cover to play and as this song was such a big hit with so many different types of music fans (particularly because of the catchy verse and harmony driven chorus and outro) it's a decent song to play anywhere and to any type of crowd.
The best way to perfect it is to ensure that when you play the verses you get the silences between the vocals as tight as possible. Get the guitar, bass and drums as tight on those verses. Have harmonies during the chorus and outro. And make sure your drummer can play the drum rolls at the start correctly.
your fingers freak me out.....NICE COVER!!!
