Watch some of the special features on the DVD. The director talks a lot about how in order to delve into the movie's story, he actually became extremely depressed, which I think really really transferred well into the movie.

damn this movie a bizarre. i still have some mixed feelings about it but i would still recommend it to people because its just so different. some people seem to love it and some hate it. as for myself, i think i'd watch it again even if to get a definite opinion of this movie

I agree with you. Me and my class watched this movie today whilst in college and I thought it was great. I loved the different genres that were introduced throughout the film and it kept you debating the intentions of both Kang and Byuung (spelt right?) until the very end. I'd watch it again. Could you send me a message that includes any movies that are similar to this? It's really something different to the usual hollywood garbage these days.
