@knobcheese69 You must be fukn blind mate. As the revs go up the speedo matches, it doesn't catch up DUH! Do you even drive a MX6? Probably not so shut the fuck up.
-
@Nastynorth802 ...the speedo is not accelerating at the same rate as the engine is, einstein. it catches up eventually, as you would expect from a slipping clutch.
-
No genius his clutch is perfectly fine he's spinning the tires at 100 thats why it's called third gear burnout.
-
sounds good man!
does look like clutch though, look at the speedo.

@boomstix666I had trans problems with mine but I think it was because the guy I got it from was a one wheel peel guy so the diff pin let go and made a mess of the driveway. Other then that its the best car I owned. if you can get one get it. The most fun you will have in a car. I wish I had never sold mine.

Im gonan be getting a mx6 possibly and im wondering,Are there any common problems with these Car's? The one im gettings a 89 with a 2.2. Manual tranny. Anything i should watch out for that could be a problem or any tips?

im going to start building from the gt block up:) i have the block pistons efi and a whole non turbo parts car.
Trust me, the clutch is fine, its the tires spinning. I was in the car. I've raced the car. With 205s on it, it spins like crazy. It has good 225s now and it'll still light them up in third on a cool day easy. Its making ~250whp and over 300 wheel torque. It weighs ~2600 lbs and is I assure you, not in need of a clutch.

Yeah, with the stock turbo, this car would do a rolling burnout in 3rd on a warm day.
