  • Love the gentleman on the upright bass. Check out his face at around 34-38 seconds, right after what looks to be a challenging section. I think it says, "Dang, I nailed that." Great to see someone so visibly having a great time up there.

  • great

  • Georg Friederich Händel is the most glorious composer ever!

  • This proves along with many, many othere pieces that Handel has no equal. This soloist idea is the conductors. I do not like it.

  • Bravo Handel!!! Thats all I managed to say!!! No more words!

  • @longeaton34: Robert Shaw! Thanks for bringing that back. I lived in Atlanta for 16 months in 1980-81 and had the privilege of hearing him conduct the B Minor Mass, Carmina Burana and, of course, the 9th Symphony. Few conductors have added life to the choral repertory as Shaw did. Americans may be rightfully proud of him and his legacy.

  • Why are only parts of this impressive work placed here...where is the impressive "He spake the Word!!

  • @longeaton34 Yah it really adds a lot. Robert Shaw used to do the same thing with choral movements of the B-minor Mass. It was SLAMMIN'!!

  • Lovely, lovely! This is the first time I have heard this with soloists in the chorus "He sent a thick darkness" But wow...... it really works! Is this arrangement in Handel's score?

  • My all-time favorite chorus, and the most fun you can have with a choir folder in your hands. Tempo is perfect.
