  • I love hearing about people who beat this. It really gives me hope. I can imagine when I beat this I'll be able to get a job, go on vacations, go for walks, drive, or just go to the grocery store. I'll never come home lol.

  • men are agoraphobic too....

Prescription drugs are responsible for more deaths & injures in the past year than pot is responsible for since it's inception into western culture! I don't smoke, but I know that RX drugs are way over prescribed & that people are entirely too quick to pop a *magic* pill rather than deal with the root cause of their issues (when possible). And Americans DO dwell on trivial crap, compared to what some must endure. We're spoiled & covertly oppressed by corporate owned GOV.

  • I think this video is very misleading. Agoraphobia is the result of anxiety and panic attacks. And if this treatment can cure someone in one session, then why isn't it known or used commonly and why like a politician do you not go into the details of the cure. To suggest that medications are useless is unethical. This video's content is one of the reasons why agoraphobia is so misunderstood and possibly not studied more.

  • Currently writing the following

Agoraphobia- Thomas Noble lives with his Mother Elizabeth in a modest semi detached in Oxford, while having high aspirations Thomas has never set foot outside his house for longer than thirty minutes, his Mother encourages him step by step to overcome his fears so he can pursue his aspirations, along the way Elizabeth develops an illness that forces Thomas to switch roles and overcome his fears while caring for his terminally ill Mother.

  • AND BENZOS HAVE NO HARMFUL EFFECTS WHATSOEVER TO ALL YOU POTHEADED HIPPIES ON DRUGS - FUCK DRUGS - BENZOS HELP CURE DRUG ADDICTION!

  • I was a sufferer of severe social anxiety and agoraphobia before I got prescribed my current regimen of 0.5mg Xanax (4 times daily) + 6mg Bromazepam fast-acting tablets for instant relief of anxiety (I am allowed to take these freely). I used to self-medicate with pot to try and calm my symptoms but it slowly destroyed me and gave me socialistic side effects. Some of the more severe ones were extreme hunger and identifying with Karl Marx - luckily I am free from the bondage of drugs now

  • @MultiLuckman I'm willing to bet you are a Muslim (or even worse, a liberal). The primal needs of humans (such as food and shelter) take precedence over psychological issues when one is confronted with them. The fact that us Westerners dwell over what you likely see as "trivial" issues is a testament to our overall success and fulfillment of our basic needs. You need to put the bong down and get on Proper Medication such as Valium or Xanax, instead of self-medicating with pot.

  • @MultiLuckman

Wow. You are really something aren't you?

I suffer from this disorder and a depression as well.

    This is NOT a joke!

American soldiers who suffers from a disorder like this, finds it much more terrifying than a year in Iraq or Afghanistan.

It is a state of mind that can not be described.

  • @TheChrissy48 then it just goes to show when yr back is against the wall your able to do it .ie your daughters wedding . . Im about to go private for my agoraphobia and im praying to god that this will help. i made some progress since my last comment a month back and able to get as far as the local shop and back. small steps is best not jumping into deep ..

  • @blackpoolwurlyman Actually I disagree, I have been AG for over 10 yrs and have been through stages of being housebound to occasionally going out locally. My daughter also got married and wanted me to go to her wedding which was in Scotland and I live in Manchester (see a map lol) 5 hours on a train.. I had some intensive CBT therapy for about 2 months before and I MADE it to her wedding, it was hard and I did relapse after but I believe therapy can work quickly with some people.

  • Im agoraphobic myself and there is no way i can even get to the doctors 5 minutes up the road . you see her at the start of the video stood at the door . the next shes driving a car after 4 years .. you dont go from being stuck indoors for 4 years and the next driving a car .. any agoraphobic will tell you that ! she had no therapy before she got in the car .this is my eyes is only advertising to make money.
