Stoc23: I did say that US Boom has the Hannah-Babera catalog, those things that Time-Warner has gotten from Paramount/Max Fleisher (which would include Popeye), and shows formerly aired on Cartoon Network. Since AoStH & SatAM were NOT a part of Hannah-Babera, were NOT a part of Paramount, and were NOT ever aired on Cartoon Network, there is LITTLE to NO chance that they'll air on US Boom.
I agree it's a bit rare lately for a comic writer to referance old issues since they want to focus on their run, I think it shows Ian Flynn's got respect for the older storylines that he made referance to them.
Also about the network thing, I dunno I wouldn't get my hopes up but /maybe/ it could happen since the DVD set apparently was a huge success. But I wouldn't get too hopeful since you said it started near April 1st.
They might be talking about the UK Boomerang, because unlike the US Boomerang--which only gets the Hannah-Barbera library catalog (Scooby-Doo, Jonny Quest, Dexter's Lab, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, The Smurfs, The Snorks, et al), stuff received from under the Paramount/Max Fleisher license (Popeye, old-school Superman, Superfriends, etc.), and shows that aired on Cartoon Network (Teen Titans and Justice League, primarily)--the UK Boomerang gets a variety due to no true strict copywright laws.
Woh, where'd you get that pic of P.Sally? Freaken Kewl

I understand what you are saying. I think the shows have a chance to being on Boomerang, but I doubt it.

The US Boomerang did air G.I. Joe at one time and Popeye is not Hanna-Barbera related so anything can happen.
