Perfect death, everything about this show was unique and unexpected. including a simple quick shot to the head of one of the main characters.

@DarkfireSuperSonic That makes one of us-- I absolutely *DESPISED* Derek Reese, and actually cheered when the T888 shot him. I believe my exact words were "Good fucking riddance." He was an asshole (to friend and foe alike), and seemed to serve no purpose other than to show that humans can be just as ruthless, heartless, and evil as Terminators (except Derek, like you said, was pathetic and nowhere near as badass as ANY Terminator). Should've killed him off sooner than this.

@fjccommish No, the Derek Reese we know still has a bullet in his head. Alternate Derek is not our Derek, he's almost our Derek, but he isn't. The future changes when one uses timetravel and people you used to know aren't the people you used to know anymore.

Deaths like these in shows, though rarely seen, are the most realistic and heart-wrenching. Derek's reaction to the shot is very authentic, he could possibly have added a slight twitch or something, but this is a very memorable death. Quick, to the point, move on. Just gotta move on.
