I could have sworn I saw this exact video on the Royer website. I realize there's a Mojave/Royer connection of some kind but was I dreaming that?
Last time I saw Kenny Aronoff was when he played w/ HSAS in the 80's. I think he's been hitting the gym.

two mics in the sides of the room (mojave)
two in the front of the room (royer) - one is stereo, so 3 total
and two royers in the corners of the room. Royers are mentioned in their video about this session.
7 room mics total, 3 on bassdrum, 2 on snare and 4 overheads (center is stereo mic, so counts as 2). Not to mention each tom and hi-hat.
20 total. Damn, that's a microphone overkill!
