Don't hold Tillman to the standards of today. He was the son of big time plantation owner and had a paternal outlook towards blacks. It wasn't right but it was all he knew and was taught. He was a BRILLANT politician though, no one can deny that. Don't hold somebody from over 100 years ago to the standards we have today.
