@fatdan172501 Half of those people would have to live in deserts, salt plains, on vertical slopes in the Andes, on floodlands, marshes and farmland. The infrastructure required to get everybody to their five acres would cover a quarter of the continent and cost the global GNP several times over. Also, they'd have to fight the locals first, then each other, as nobody would want five acres of volcano, salt or mosquito infested bog. In the end a few ruthless individuals would own everything.
