Wow! What an excellent and concise explanation of the very essence of the debate. As a former Arminian I cannot even tell you how many strawmen I was taught to refute Calvinism. But as you have eloquently pointed out it is not about what sounds or even feels good, but what Scripture has plainly said: to understand man's ability in light of Paul's explanation of death and depravity.
