Does anyone know if this is the original recording. To my untrained ear it seems to slick and echoey to have been recorded in 1966.

Since the begining of finding YouTube I have been looking for this song. After a year, I just gave up. I look again, and I've got to say this song has more depth than nearly any love song I have ever heard in my entire life. Why do men so often more than women do it-touch-without love?????????Why???
