It's not the show of the devil, but rather your friend has terrible priorities.

I still teach religion on a weekly basis and I am a large fan of the show. The show, through interpretation, can be interpreted to have Christian values and all (Or just good moral values that are taught in any religion, but I say Christian for the sake of this context. It's a non-secular show, though.)
