This is a second attempt will keep my audio. This video is an example on how to successfully clean cylinder head and block & deck surfaces. This engine is a 2008 6.4lit powerstroke diesel.

Hey I love your videos there very informative and good quality. I wanted to know since you work on the 6.0 and 6.4 which would you prefer if you were planning on bullet proofing what ever you got?

Thanks for the great comments! If I would build a 6.0 over a 6.4, the bottom end of the 6.0 is far stronger and capable of running it hard!

Why was this in the shop? I would think it would be years before it needed this kind of work.

This engine had a lifter fail and bent a push rod. I had to remove the head to replace the lifter. These 6.4lit have not been as tough as the 6.0lit!

Hot tanking does work, but it take a while and you still need to clean the surface. This works quick and it does a great job!
