This new Bing maps feature takes tagged photos from Flickr, and relates them to our Streetside imagery to show images matched to their original context. See if you're really going to get a good sunset at that B&B youre looking to book, or check out the crowds on a Saturday morning at Pike Place Market in Seattle.

  • @YoutanPoluo What! The map functions, meaning navigation, are useful. Everything else is just a gimmick. "Yes they have a road map, but ours has glitter!"

  • I just tried Bing after watching this video. 2 stars, Two thumbs down and a D-. Google maps was made for the people. These guys are the people who cut you of on the freeway.

  • @nriab23 Hi, nriab23,

Try visiting bit dot ly slash streetsidephotos to experience this.

You can also just visit bing dot com slash maps slash explore.

  • Why isn't any of this working when I try it on bing, streetside is nothing like google streetview for me, rather 5 pics side by side

  • I feel like this technology should be a lot bigger than it is - more appreciated and utilized, u know? I remember seeing his TED presentation back in 2007 and couldn't wait to see this stuff in action.

  • wow, very impressive. I'm still using google out of habit as well but may switch.

  • I LOVE Streedside from Microsoft (Bing)

  • i like bing streetside more than google streetview, only problem is that the google map database/image quality runs circles around bings.

bing streetside runs alot smoother and you can even rotate while moving and the transitions are alot more viewable and smoother.

  • i am not a microsoft fan,and i hate to say they are doing a good job..But this cant go unsaid..They did a wonderful job!
