@pete001uk Casino is a completely guitar - Totally hollow, P90's, different neck joint etc. The Epiphone Dot, Sheraton and the Hofner Verythin are all more or less the same thing. The Sheraton is a Dot but more blinged up hence the bigger price tag. I'd say the Epiphones are SO worth the money, really fantastic guitars (I should know, I own a Dot). The Hofner seems like its the same woods and basically another funky 335 copy. I personally hate the horns on it so would go Epiphone. Peace. ;)

Hi. Nice review but i do think that the Epiphone Sheraton or Casino sounds better and around the same money.. What do you think???

Noel didn't use these at all :/

Jeezez Hippy dude.....Your playing and sound in the last minute of this Vid is just fkn sublime!!! My god you feel the blues!!!! Kudo's!!!

Great overview. I actually thought the pickups did a better job overdriven. The PAF-style pickups on the Chinese Hofners are pretty blah. The real mini-humbucker Schaller-made pickups on German Hofners sound amazing and reason enough to get a German one.

The different sounds are lovely! ncluding the distortion. Very clear sound, which I am all for.
But, my Diamond Logo pickup from the 60's sounds very voice-like, close to the PAF Pro. The mid-range is all the way up. Any idea on how to fix it? I have inverted the soldering, got the "nasal" sound and switched back to the original. Any idea will be appreciated. : )

Hey Rob, im in the market for a hofner ct club semi-hollow guitar.... what are your thoughts on this guitar? is it a good buy in any way?

alright mate, err noel dont use one, he uses gibson es355 and 345. but if he does show me id love to see it
You know, Rob, I'm one of your greatest admirers and faithful follower of the MonkeyLord... but I have to agree with some of the guys here. Bunch of your videos in the last weeks looked like some advertisement. I see that being a pro musicain who makes his living this way has to do that but... we'd like to see more music videos and less "this is the best guitar in the world"-kind of reviews. Sorry, man...

Hi mate, this is a very valid point, and I agree with you entirely. I need to get the balance right, I just need some time to fire fight the work I have to do and then I'm back to it.
I am due to shoot three music videos next month which will go up on Youtube so that will be a good start ;-)
