Her name is Calla

"Our Story

Hello folks, we are the UK band Her Name is Calla. Traditionally on a tour we've always taken our own van. With somewhat disastrous problems as the video shown above (from our last tour) shows. This time we'd like to rent a brand new vehicle. One that actually gets us to the venues, allows us to travel in relative comfort and without the fear of exploding on the motorway, being broken into, or just generally being unreliable.


The Impact

For us, touring has never been financially rewarding, not by any stretch of the imagination. Playing live is something that we love, and for the past 5+ years we have toured all over the place funding things ourselves to the point where we are now pretty much broke. But we're not done yet. We know that we have a hugely committed and loyal fanbase, and we have chosen to try out Indiegogo (at the suggestion by a number of HNIC fans following the last tour), to see if you are interested in helping fund our November UK/EU tour in exchange for various goodies.

The short answer is that our costs always seem to go up, but fees don't go up in accordance. Promoters are charged more for venues, petrol costs more etc etc. And we may have to soon face the possibility that it is just impossible for us to tour.


What We Need & What You Get

We need to raise a minimum of around £3000 to cover van rental, insurance, engineer, and a few other tour releated costs. Ideally this figure will be a bit higher and will also contribute to a few equipment rentals and a quality mastering of our next album. In exchange you will get all sorts of things, take a look at the list. There is an option to purchase a two track, handpackaged CD that is exclusive to this fundraiser. Other options include a download of one of the CD tracks alongside a different goodie.
