This is our 100th Video!!!
Of course including both channels, and video's that we've taken down ( unlisted.)
Pretty nice milestone.

Anyway, this is a video that was recorded in December of 2010, before my computer died and I lost a bunch of videos. There are a few things missing... Which is why the intro is kinda weird. But I got most of it. :D

This was a really fun project, and the last custom board I've built. Yeah... Its been almost a year since I made a custom board.

Anyway, The board here I believe we were calling it the Lamborghini or something fancy like that. Its actually the board who's pictures we used on our website.
Its pretty much my favorite board ever.

  • Really nice; do you think something similar would work to stop boards snapping along the bolt-holes? Does it add much weight?

  • @ATGATB1

The aluminum insert would, but not the dowels.

And it would have to be done a bit differently.

Our baseplates are so big they seem to protect the bolt holes on their own, so we made it so the aluminum ended directly between them.

If you wanted to protect both bolt holes, you'd need to taper the aluminum and extend it further into the deck.

  • Ground breaking stuff guys! You really do deserve more credit for the innovation you put into these decks!

Also, out of curiosity, how much would you charge for the deck alone?

    Great work again!

  • @hopetofly

I think I sold this one to Other Planet for like $110 or something, LOL.

    Super Bro Deal, you know.

If this was going to not my bros, then... I think I'd have to charge $160- $180, just because I have to go out of my way to make boards nowadays, I'd also use some higher quality materials though if I could.

  • isn't formica too hard for a skate deck?

I remember I had a formica desk and it was very stiff for thin layer

  • @pegue88

Yeah, it pretty hard, but its not really a problem if you construct it right.

  • 0:13 that's what she said

  • @ATGATB1 didn't know that, thanks for the info ill look into it.

  • @PERRONmedia Neversummer do it on all their boards (not with metal though)

  • Seems alot stronger now. More companies need to start doing this. Looks legit

  • That's one sexy looking board...like the idea of guard inside the wood...
