That is in No Way An "American Pit Bull Terrier". most of these guys have "pitbull mastiffs " & Bandogs, & Think the are large Pitbulls...what a joke.

@solidpitbull9211 I agree that the majority of pitts are 35 - 55 pound, larger ones usally around 55 - 70 pounds but im in Ireland where we still breed them the way they were before Irish Immigrants took the first Pitbulls tot he USA just before the Civil War there, I've seen a Pure Patrick bred Red Nose Male weighing close to 90 pounds here in Ireland, not at fighting weight but not too heavy also, he was just BIG and very strong

im not sure if it is purebred abpt. the history of pitbull had proven that a pitbull should weight at least 40 lbs up to 70 lbs..larger than that is a mixed bred with some other huge breed of dogs. maybe your dog had some mixed somewhere along the bloodline...but your dog is still fantastic to look at.

man we all know thats not a pitbull

competitions, and they are all built similar to Dragon...muscular and lean. I don't know much about the rules of competition, but I would think that being crated while waiting to compete is standard. Dragon didn't look sad or upset to be in the crate, he was laying down and relaxing. For me, this competition isn't something I would do-but the videos I've watched, the dogs looked eager to get their turn.
As for seeing marks on his legs, I couldn't spot them myself, I'll have to watch it again.

I'm not sure if my pibbles are 'purebred', all three of them both had pibble parents. Brutus male (10) weighs in at 74 lbs, Daisy Mae female (7) weighs in at 82 lbs, and Lola Mo female (7 months) weighs in at 52 lbs. All three dogs are active - Daisy and Lola more so than Brutus. Boo (Brutus) likes couch sports and holding the bed down...but does get out to run, walk, and play with the girls. Boo and Daisy are both fixed and Lola will be next month. I've seen videos of dogs who do the pulling
Dragon was a mess! You said his foot healed. Why was he injured? I have a bad feeling Dragon was a fighting dog, especially since you quoted a book on dog fighting. Even through your terrible video quality I think I can see scars on his legs/feet. Also, the American Pit Bull Terrier is called a TERRIER for good reason. No such thing as a 130 pound APBT sir... no way.

@mjfromga89 Some Pit Bulls have been Schutzhund trained. By your logic if I had referenced a Schutzhund training book then Dragon would have been used for Schutzhund training. I referenced the World of Fighting Dogs book because it is well documented and had the largest documented APBT in the early 1980s. The book is not about dog fighting but about breeds that have been used for dog fighting, it is an informative book about various breeds of dogs around the world.

@mjfromga89 The Airedale is a TERRIER and like the APBT averages 40–60 lbs. And like the Dragon-Dagger Dogs the Oorang strain of Airedale Terriers can weigh over 100 pounds.
Oorangs is the name of a kennel in Ohio in the early 1900s. Like the ADBA standard for APBTs the American Kennel Club standard for Airedales specifies a smaller dog. Larger Airedale Terriers up to 55 kilograms (120 lb) have been produced. This is well documented, and so an APBT of similar size is a yes way mam.

the dogs you are refering to are called bandogs and the were a cross of the neo mastiff and game pit bull no way you get a 100 pound pit without crossing with a mastiff breed

@chikikker Then how do you explain in the early 1980s pictured in Dr. Carl Semencic's book THE WORLD OF FIGHTING DOGS (pages 122-123) is a purebred APBT owned by Yvan Vasquez weighing 100 pounds at only 9 months of age? Also how do you explain the FACT that Bandogs do not breed true, when you breed bandog to bandog you get a smaller dog each generation, while Dragon and other Dagger dogs when bred to each other produced dogs of the same size or larger?
