This graceful Woodland Caribou was spotted on the shores of Aikens Lake in Atikaki Provincial Park (and hopefully a future UNESCO World Heritage Site!) Although threatened, Aikens does boast a fair population. Such sightings happen about 8-20 times per season by various guests. Moose are much more common and are generally spotted about 30-60 times per year.
You're one of the lucky few human beings who still get to see these animals!
