baby jenday conure with new friend

This baby Jenday's two siblings have gone to theire new homes and she is all alone. So, I gave her this bunny to snuggle with. She fell in love with her new friend right away. This baby will be going to her new home as soon as the weather warms up enough for her to take a flight to her new Mommy.

I did want to mention that I usually don't think it is a good idea to give a parrot a toy made w/ any type of fabric as they can pull a loose thread and easily get the thread wrapped around their toes or neck. This can be very dangerous obviouxly. I am letting this baby have this toy with very close supervision and only because I felt sad watching her lean on the cage bars when she slept at night or napped during the day.

I also would caution using a toy like this that your bird may "fall in love" with. If it were a mature bird it may cause mating behavior which you probably do not want. Your once affectionate pet parrot may fall for the soft toy and want to be with the toy instead of you.

jenday conures make terrific pets. if you have just one bird and have a fairly calm house, I don't think jendays are that loud. They are not quiet, but I personally think they are tolerable.

i wish my bird would cuddle with a soft toy...just ends up killing them. lol

They are tolerable. I live in apts and have one. How much worse can they be than the barking chihuahu upstairs?

awww i luv this its sooo cute!!!!! i hav a baby jenday conure2 tht looks exactly like urz!!! whn she saw this wit me she flew and got her bunny toy2 and held it becuz she was copyn ur bird:)...mine's just a few months older

@pwnage2own I'm sure he lets him out once in a while too! If he's out too often... think about how much danger there will be =/ I'm sure you'll understand if you keep a bird or parrot! :)
