I've noticed that Tom's songs quite often dwell on the spiritual side of life. It seems as though he knows that Jesus is really nearby and watching us all, but he doesn't want to believe it because that might cause him to give up his present way of life. Most people are simply afraid to let go. I guess Tom is, too. He's a great songwriter and singer.

@tomaskoerse93 The word in the song is "Witness" apparently the Germans heard "Window" and used "Fenster" gee--misheard lyrics are even worse in a foreign language.

This song is an old Negroe Spiritual. It's not Tom's song it's a cover, and a beautifully done one as a matter of fact.
