The democratic party claims to stand for minorities, yet they take awa the school voucher program which provides the opportunity for a quality education. We can only hope that more people are able to see through the giant smoke screen.

You are right, both parties have increased the federal intrusion into education, and the result is of course declining literacy from our graduates.
Ronald Reagan had the right idea in 1980: abolish the Department of Education and get the feds out of our schools; however as President he abandoned his promise and the fed-ed budget has only increased.
