EDIT: when i said hey look how quiet it is inside, i didnt even realize the radio was blaring. but just imagine the noise level being as quiet as if it were turned off

i had this car for about half a year before i sold it to a buddy when i got my malibu. Good running car too, just had to actually get the thing started when i got it for free, put about $800 in it and sold it for $650. replaced the damage my mom did to it, fender, bumper and door. replaced the starter, fuel pump, spark plugs, control module and coil pack, sway bar, and new brake pads and some other small things.

ok im gonna ask u guys (buick fans) who would win in a race between me and a freind... i have a 97 maxima and he has a 97 le sabre he is talking so much shit and i really dont know who would win but i would like to know a few opinions b4 i actually do race him and look like a dumbass... so in u guys opinions who do u think would win?? 97 maxima or 97 lesabre both are stock

@poopheadin2011 i am just basing it off the engine types. the 97 buick has a 3.8L engine whereas the 97 nissan has a 3.0. i would go with the buick on that (not saying it because i made this video, as i now drive a malibu lol) but unless the nissan has a manual trasmission, it could win, im not too sure, bus basing it on engines, i say the lesabre. hope you win dude

Don't feel bad, I have a multicolored LeSabre, too. I had to replace the original gray leather driver's seat out of it with a red cloth pillow-style seat out of an '89 (I have a '91). I have to say, I like the pillow style seat much better.

thanks, were thinking that it might be a crankshaft position sensor that is causing the problem for the car to shut off on us, this started happening around the time the harmonic balancer started to rattle and got worse as the balancer did, so hopefully this is the problem. But their still a very reliable car. Also couldn't help but notice that on your gear shifter, the top knob piece fell off too. Same as ours.

the fuel pump was around $200 i believe. i think i even lost the receipt so im not sure but it was around that

lol yeah its the nice edition. i put in a new fuel pump was the most expensive thing. Then the starter, control module and coil pack, both were bad. new spark plugs, a sway bar, and a battery. well i think we just took the battery out of my old 88 astro van lol and the radio  and rear speakers.

ur lucky because u got the "limited" lesabre. the highest trim for lesabre. since u have power locks, plush seats, touch climate control etc.

u said u put 700 dollars in it. what exactly did spend it on lol?

the fuel pump was the only part we replace that we took it to the shop simply because we didnt know if it was the cause of the car dying but it was. but i looked online to see where the fuel pump is on these cars and its by the tank. not sure if that helps or not, but ill send you the link if you want. in my 88 astro it was behind the actual engine block. so we had to strip out everything to get to it.

it's funny how we have a buick electra park ave, and the shifter top piece also is missing off of it, looks very identical but do you know where the fuel pump is located at exactly on these cars, I don't know if its under the engine or in the fuel tank?
