I first saw them live in 87..and believe me I would goto each concert again..This year no 33...bless The Cure!!!

I agree the background loop doesn't suit this song, but the rest of it sounds fantastic. Even the drums, which are so frequently attacked.

I don't know... I don't hate it. I kinda see what Robert was going for, it makes sense historically and musically... but it goes on too long, ends up annoying. Someone needs to use it more sparingly, if only Boris were around, he'd be playing it into the beat instead of them using a loop...

Why would Robert let this classic be denigrated by that shitty percussion effect?
I saw them in '08 after a hiatus of not having seen them since Disintegration tour, and they did the Seventeen Seconds encore - it was a dream come true to hear those songs in their pure form. M, At Night...just insane to hear after having been a fan since the mid 80s and never getting to hear the really old school stuff. No need for what is going on in this version. At all.

@nunozr it hapenned in MSG (2008), Las Vegas (2009) here in Coachella and all the latests concerts. So, this is not a coincidence but the new "Cure sound" :/
