CCTV is a common abbreviation for Closed-circuit television, a system of remote monitoring using cameras. The increasing use of CCTV in public places has caused a debate over public surveillance versus privacy. There are currently more than 2,500 CCTV cameras in Chicago.

Also believe only the one who are out here breaking the law should be worried about such a project. As a parent I would like to know that my boys would have second thoughts before doing anything they shouldnt be, there is only so much a parent and teach and bestow upon the children in the end its up to them to make their minds up. I also think it would help keep them safer as well or at least help capture those who might harm them.

Cops cant be every where at once so im in favor of the Big Brother project and would love to see it on every single street in America I think the gov. should really invest in this project everyone has thier side of the stories but video doesnt lie. Think about this someone does something from the moment they do cameras are watching their every move until they are arrested. No one could escape justice even the police would be watched. I would also like it to be veiwed by all just like earthcam.

The Patriot Act is grants the Corporations/Government the authority to enter your home at any time without telling you. Secretly without your informed consent surveilance technology has been intergrated into the electronic devices you purchase and use everyday.

@chicagobirdman hey hey hey. Come one now. The cops are great. I mean it might be reasonable to say that if the cops you met were complete assholes. But other than that they are very good at their jobs. They get paid like $50,000.00 a year. So thats gotta be worth something.
