@DrThunder88 Me too! Especially in the knife making world, useful instructional vids tend to be few an far between. And the few that are available are freakishly overpriced. Either the lighting sucks, the audio is weak, or the information is dubious, etc. I've yet to find a knife making video tutorial that's informative, well produced and reasonably priced, although Tim Lively's was decent. I've learned far more from watching vids on the web than I have professionally made dvds.

Great video and great knife! I'm embarrassed to say I've paid money for less instructive videos than this. 5/5

I little cometary on what you are looking at and how you get such a consistent grind without a jig would be nice. Also what belt you are using at which stage.

Thanks, Wayne! CJ is shaping up really well. The TCEDC is sure to be a hit! There is a lot of love going into each and every one as evidenced by the care and attention to detail in this video. Every knife has a story and this is one awesome story. Thank you, my brother, for sharing this!
MrEhud77 - No, full flat grind.

just couple quick question sir, I'm curious @ 4:20-4:23 I can see that the blade tip is blackened, is it because of the heat? does it affect the HT sir?

@jankrix Hi - thanks for watching. That may have been a bit of surface oxidation from heat but it doesn't affect the blade since it is ground "before" it's hardened and tempered. If one were to grind a blade "after" HT and tempering then it would greatly affect it. Take care.

@jankrix - not a problem considering this is prior to heat treating and the blade is not hardened .
