Many blogs fall into the trap of just writing what everyone else is writing in the same way that everyone else does it - echo chamber blogging. This video explores how to add to conversation and burst out of the echo chamber of the blogosphere.

  • great one, thanks for the uploads.

  • I would like to know how you filmed this - what camera did you use and the mic set up. What kind of extra lighting did you use. It came out great.

Can you tell me the resolution or the file type you used to upload it? I wish I could get results like that.

    Nice video.

  • I'm new to blogging and i appreciate your tips.i keep trying to think of new ways to be unique. sometimes we fall in a rut and stay there. we should always change the way we look at it i am going to look at it from the future or from the past. thanks.

  • Bingo. The valueless chatter polluting the stream from the echo chamber is driving me crazy. In this new "social" world we live in honest and unique contributions to any conversation is desired and paramount to our growth as a society. Let's challenge each other to expand our thoughts on a topic. Let's extend the value of a popular news story by offering an alternative angle. Let's question each others positions by adding new context to an established story. Let's teach each other.

  • Great advice!! Love your perspective!!

  • Adding ideas, look into the future, consider what-ifs, play the devil's advocate and more, instead of the usual 'great post!' echo may be a reasonable expectation, but... it needs the visitor to actually read, listen and THINK about the post.

It may be too much to ask.

  • good advice. I've done this with almost all my guest posts and it does add value to the conversation.

    Always enjoy your worthwhile tips!

  • Requires that a blogger actually THINK and have something to say!

  • It sometimes takes a lot of reminders to remember common sense, especially in these iPad times. Thank you :)
