I am a Republican New Orleanian that supported Bush before the storm. Let history record that Bush ABANDONED the people of New Orleans, LA and MS. I am an eye wirness to this. I lost a country 8-29-05. We could have used the help of the world, because, heaven knows, our own country was no where to be seen, ,even YEARS after Katrina.

just to provide clarity about this issue...cus so many dont understand this was a ticking time bomb....what do they expect is going to happen when you build a city at least 50 feet lower than sea level in a hurricane zone?? and if it was a 5 class hurricane, did they expect all the bridges to amazingly stay up? they did all they could, the rest was a matter of common sense. it was originally a shipping port. NOT a city, shouldve never built a city there...words cant describe the pain they felt.
