  • TimpBizkit - Standard US outlets do not have a switch to control them - great idea though. If wired in advance, some outlets can be operated with a light switch, but that's not that common.

  • Can't you just flip the switch on the socket? No unplugging or fancy power strip needed. Do US sockets have switches on them? UK ones do - they're a bit like light switches but with a red bit showing at the top when they're on.
