Profactor has demonstrated at the Automatica 2010 the combination of a light weight robot arm ROMO from FerRobotics, bin picking from PROFACTOR, and Augmented Reality visualization from Media Interaction Lab. The robot does not need a security housing because it is human compliant. The object recognition system recognizes the complete 3D position of multiple objects, with high precision, which is quite cool. After recognition the CAD parts are shown in the AR visualization where a user can quickly tell the robot what to do, like which part to grasp.

This is a demonstrator from the AHUMARI Project that demonstrates that it can be made very easy and intuitive to interact with a robot e.g. to teach grasping of new parts, when using Profactor's object recognition.
