And suddenly, I am transported to a time where women wore the classiest dresses & rarely spoke a swear word. Here I am, having doors held open for me by men in suits with hair slicked by fresh, glossy pomade, & I give them a shy thank you when they do so. I approach my lover with my kitten-heel maryjanes clicking against the floor while this song croons, my knee-length dress floating around my legs, & my hot-rolled hair cascading in waves against my shoulders. Ah, yes. This is where I belong.
